Wickhouse

Wickhouse Games Studio

Five games. One developer.

Small, sharp games made in Godot by one person: a virus that steals bodies, a police holding wing where something is wrong, the last knight of a dead order, a night shift in a warehouse that was not always a warehouse, and a descent through the catacombs. Built in public, and every one played to the end before it goes up.

The games

Two are out now and free to play, and three are being built in public, with progress posted every week. One more, a first-person action RPG roguelike, is on the bench.

Obligate

Twin-stick roguelite

A virus with no body of its own

You are a virus. You have no body of your own, so you steal one. Touch a cell and it is yours: its shape, its weapon, its ability. Ride it until it fails, burst out in a swarm, and take the next one before your time runs out.

Night Rounds: End of Watch

First-person anomaly horror

Anomaly horror on the night shift

A police holding wing on the night shift. Walk the wing, look for anything wrong, and report it at the panel. Get eight rounds right in a row and your shift is over. Get one wrong and the count goes back to zero.

The Broken Order

Gothic first-person shooter

Every reload is a prayer

The last knight of a dead order, and a gun with no powder. You make each round out of your own faith. Walk the order's ruined houses, take back its relics, and keep the last vigil until dawn.

Latest: The Ironwood up close, and the last knight holding it. Watch it

Five Cells

First-person horror

It wasn't always a warehouse

Forty years ago the building was a research annex, and the five halls at the back were five holding cells. Now it is a warehouse, with pallet racking in everything - including the cells. You are the new night picker. Cash every night. More if you work the back. Follow the rules on the doors.

Latest: Night one: the last bus leaves you at the gate, and someone answers the intercom. Watch it

Only Way Down

First-person horror

The maze never blocks. It taxes.

A descent through the Paris catacombs. Thirty junctions, fifty-five galleries, one lamp on your head, and a gate somewhere below you. There is no wall to wait out and no puzzle to solve - every wrong turn is just a longer walk in the dark, and the dark is what you are paying with.

Demo coming soon.
