Wickhouse

Creator terms

Version 25 September 2026

What taking part in the Wickhouse Creator Network means, for you and for the studio. Short on purpose. Each campaign's brief adds its own dates, rate and deliverable on top of these.

1. Who can take part

To join, which is unpaid and brings keys, news and early builds:

  • You are 18 or older.
  • You have at least one public Twitch, YouTube or TikTok channel that covers games.
  • The channel is at least 90 days old (30 on TikTok).
  • You have streamed or posted in the last 30 days.

To take a paid campaign, on the platform the campaign is for:

PlatformAudienceActivityAccount age
Twitch5 average live viewers over the last 30 daysAffiliate, or 100 followersLive on at least 4 separate days in the last 3090 days
YouTube live5 average live viewers over the last 30 daysAt least 4 live streams in the last 30 days90 days
YouTube videosMedian views of your last 10 long-form videos: 500 or moreAt least 3 long-form uploads in the last 90 days90 days
TikTok and YouTube ShortsNot paid on their own; paid as an add-on to a paid stream or videoA post in the last 30 days30 days

The studio checks every number before a paid campaign is approved: Twitch on SullyGnome or TwitchTracker, YouTube from a YouTube Studio analytics screenshot or Social Blade. Numbers you type in yourself are where we start; on their own they never qualify.

2. What a paid stream must include

  • It is live. Not pre-recorded, not a rerun, not looped.
  • The game is on screen for at least the campaign's minimum minutes, in one broadcast: 60 for a 1-hour deal, 120 for a 2-hour deal.
  • The stream category is set to the game.
  • The stream title has the game's name in it, and "#ad" or "Sponsored".
  • Your tracking link goes in chat at least 3 times: at the start, in the middle and at the end. A chat command such as !wickhouse is the easy way. A panel with the link is welcome too.
  • The VOD stays public, not subscriber-only, for 14 days. Twitch deletes past broadcasts after 7 days on channels that are not Affiliate: if yours expire sooner, save the whole broadcast as a Twitch Highlight or upload it to YouTube in full, and keep that up instead.

3. What a paid video must include

  • A dedicated video of at least 8 minutes, with the game on screen for most of it.
  • The game's name in the title.
  • Your tracking link in the first 3 lines of the description, and in a pinned comment.
  • The video stays public for 90 days: not unlisted, private or deleted.

4. Disclosure

Every paid stream or video says plainly that it is sponsored. The US Federal Trade Commission's rules require it, and so does each platform's own policy.

  • Twitch: tick Branded Content in Stream Manager, and say out loud that the stream is sponsored at the start and about every 30 minutes.
  • YouTube, videos and live: tick "includes paid promotion", and say or show that it is sponsored in the first 30 seconds. A line in the description is not enough on its own.
  • TikTok and YouTube Shorts: turn on the platform's branded content disclosure.

5. Mature content

Wickhouse makes horror. Where a game calls for it, apply your platform's mature or violent content label. Each campaign brief lists what the game contains, such as gore, jump scares and flashing lights, so you can decide before you say yes. Your profile says what you are happy to show, and we do not invite you to a game that rules out.

6. Honest coverage

Your opinion is yours. There is no script, and nobody at Wickhouse approves what you say before or after. The payment is for the deliverable, never for a verdict.

7. Fair play

  • No bots, bought views, viewbots or any other way of inflating the numbers.
  • A key is for you. No reselling, gifting or giveaways of it.
  • Private builds are not shared, and any embargo date in a brief is kept.

Breaking any of these forfeits the payment for that campaign and ends your membership.

8. Timing and payment

  • Send the link and a screenshot of its analytics from your campaign workspace: for a stream, the VOD within 3 days of going live; for a video, within 7 days of publishing.
  • Once that is approved, you are paid within 5 business days, by Zelle or Wise as your profile says.
  • Zelle for US bank accounts, Wise everywhere else.
  • No payments to countries under US sanctions.
  • A W-9 (in the US) or a W-8BEN (outside the US) before the first payment.
  • You are an independent contractor, responsible for your own taxes.

9. If it does not happen

  • A deliverable that is not delivered is not paid.
  • If part of it happened, the studio may pay part of the rate.
  • If Wickhouse cancels a campaign after your build has been released to you, it pays half the agreed rate.

10. Usage

Wickhouse may link to and share your public content from the studio's own accounts. Using it in adverts, re-editing it, or using your face or voice needs your separate, written permission.

11. Leaving and removal

Either side can end membership at any time: write to us, or we will write to you. The studio can remove a member who breaks these terms. A campaign already under way is settled under section 9.

Questions about any of this: write to the studio. Back to the Creator Network.
